The Tour of Fryslan

My very first puzzle tour with 03.

We gathered in Lemmer, Fryslan, at a restaurant. Very early and we, the navigator and I, already had a trip from Amsterdam behind the wheels. So we drank a cup of coffee and we let us explain what a 'bol - pijl' tour really is. It translates as boll - arrow which means in short that you travel from boll in the direction of the arrow toward the next boll on the map. You get it? Neither did we. The rulebook was only two pages thick but slightly over our head, or so it seemed because we finished 57th or something. Next time more 'luck' I suppose.

Especially for this event I hired in a Frysian navigator. OK, I have to admit, we didn't go wrong the entire trip (at least not to my knowledge). Only a pity of all the missed clues and letters. This photo is taken just before the finish while we were waiting. We got there 15 minutes early, which means a lot of penalty points. We were not the only ones who did this as you can see by the shadow behind us.

Some picture of the very famous mill in Lemmer (Ir de Wouda gemaal). No, it is not a wind mill.
